From the moment of his first publications in the press in the 1930s, Boris Kosarev displayed footage of key events in the history of the country, for several decades creating a photographic overview of life in the USSR, preserving historical moments and portraits of the most important people of Russia of the twentieth century in his photographs.
He is the author of historical footage of the Yalta Conference in 1945 and portraits of the Leaders of the Three Powers - Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill.
For many years, Boris Kosarev was a photojournalist for the Soyuzphoto Agency, the Novosti Press Agency, the TASS Photo Chronicles, Council of Ministers of the USSR. He worked as a photojournalist in such leading Soviet periodicals as Krasnaya Zvezda, Izvestia, Rural Life, Pravda, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Pionerskaya Pravda. Photos of Boris Kosarev are kept in the State Archive of the USSR. His artistic and documentary photographic works took part in exhibitions, international photo salons and were awarded international awards.
